An Appeal

High Dropout Rates in Government Schools: A Cause of Deep Concern

Did you know that Karnataka is home to 4,050 Urdu-medium government schools. Over 260,000 boys and girls study in government schools. Tragically, 90% of these students drop out before completing secondary education. It is our collective duty to act, for the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The best among you are those who bring the most benefit to others." This dropout crisis perpetuates cycles of poverty, desperation, and broken families, undermining the strength of the community.

WHY ARE DROPOUT RATES SO HIGH?

Teacher Shortages: Many schools struggle without adequate, trained educators.
Substance Abuse: Drug addiction among youth leads to disengagement from education.
Lack of Infrastructure: Schools lack basic amenities like clean toilets and drinking water.
Early Marriages and Child Labor: Cultural and economic pressures push children out of school.
Poverty: Families often prioritize earning over education.
