If our community has to really grow and prosper then we have to support the weakest among us. [Because a chain is as strong as it's weakest link and strengthening the weakest link will give strength and stability to the whole chain].
Decades / generations of ignorance has caused decline in our power both economically and mentally. This is especially TRUE in slums and ghettos dominated by our community.
One sure way of strengthening our community is by educating them. To accomplish that we need to engage them in their localities.
Schools in these areas provide us a great opportunity to focus on our future generations, nurture them and ultimately strength them. Our work is cut out as we have the poorest and the weakest of our community gathering here everyday.
In one such school - Alahalli Government Udru School has close to 400 children studying 1st to 8th std in it.
Al Ansaar Trust has been supporting this school by providing 4 extra teachers since the past couple of years.
This school is more than 40 years old and the lighting inside is not sufficient for the children in the classrooms.The electrical wiring needs a complete overhaul to accommodate new lights and fans in 15 rooms. The complete cost for this is close to ₹ 1,00,000/-
We hope that brightening their class atmosphere will go a long way in brightening the future of these children.
