As we step into the promising year of 2024, Al Ansaar Trust is delighted to share a heartening update on the strides made in our Karate classes for underprivileged children. In just under two months, our weekend Karate classes have flourished, attracting a dedicated group of 50 enthusiastic children.
A defining moment unfolded as nine of our talented young participants seized the opportunity to showcase their skills at the 10th National Karate Championship 2024 held at AVR Institution & Shitoryu Karate Do. More than 25 schools participated in the competition which saw more than 750 students compete in various categories. The pride and joy we experienced were immeasurable, as each of these children emerged victorious, clinching prizes in their respective categories.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that these budding karate champions hail from government schools, shining a light on the untapped potential that exists within every child, regardless of their background. The immense joy radiating from their parents and teachers is a testament to the transformative power of sports in shaping a child's character and instilling a newfound confidence.
The ripple effect of this success is palpable, as the participating children now harbour a renewed sense of enthusiasm, firmly believing that they can overcome any obstacle in their path. The Al Ansaar Trust extends its heartfelt gratitude to all our donors whose unwavering support has enabled us to nurture these dreams among the underprivileged.
As we celebrate this triumph, we also appeal to our generous supporters to continue standing by us, as the need for such initiatives has never been more pressing. Together, let us empower these children, giving them the tools to carve out a future brimming with potential and promise. The Al Ansaar Trust remains committed to its vision, fuelled by the belief that with your continued support, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those who need it most.
